Tuition Assistance & Scholarships

St. Michael School Tuition Assistance:

Tuition Assistance is available for K-8th Grade Catholic families. Families can apply for tuition assistance after attending St. Michael School for one year. Applications for assistance must be submitted through your FACTS Tuition Management account with the necessary documents by May 1, 2024, to be considered for assistance for the 2024-2025 school year. Tuition assistance is granted for one school year only. Families must re-submit a request for assistance from the committee by May 1 each year if they are requesting assistance for the next school year. Once all applications have been processed and reviewed by the school’s administration, a decision will be made, and you will be notified.

ACE SCHOLARSHIPS:

The ACE Scholarships offer families who are either coming from public school at any grade or entering kindergarten from any school, including St. Michael School, the opportunity to receive a partial scholarship to attend a private school of choice. Your child must be a resident of Louisiana. Your family income is less than the amount listed in the chart located on the ACE Scholarship link below. All ACE Scholarships applicants must apply to St. Michael School and be accepted to St. Michael School before applying for the ACE Scholarships.

The ACE Scholarships application will open for the 2024- 2025 school year on 1st Monday in February, February 5th, 2024. All applicants must apply online through FACTS. The application will be open through the end of the day on Tax Day (April 15th, 2024 at 11:59 PM in the time zone in which the school you are applying to resides). ARETE SCHOLARS:

Arete Scholars strive to provide an education that helps transform young hopeful minds into accomplished and fulfilled adults. But sadly, for families without financial means, those desires frequently give way to despair and a hopelessness that lasts for generations. Arete Scholars is helping to break the barriers to academic and personal achievement by expanding access to high-quality educational opportunities. Arete provides private K-12 scholarships exclusively to qualifying low-to-moderate-income students. The scholarships empower those parents who otherwise have no options to select a school that best meets their child's unique gifts, talents, and learning needs. All Arete Scholars applicants must apply to St. Michael School and be accepted to St. Michael School before applying for the Arete Scholars.

Arete Scholars application season is February 27, 2024 through May 31, 2024 (or sooner if application limit reaches 3,200). Please remember scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and an application is not complete until all required documents are submitted. A completed application does not guarantee a scholarship. Arete Scholars will begin notifying families in May on the status of their application.
